Me and my style

I'm a self-taught artist living in the English Surrey Hills, with my husband and three dogs

I've always taken huge pleasure in painting and drawing animals since a young age. My dad introduced me to watercolours with its magical qualities when I was a child. I've never lost that buzz I get when I let the colours wash together, to form something unique and beautiful

My aim is to produce a piece of work that's free and flowing, with an array of subtle colours. I build up many washes (especially in the Traditional pet portraits) that gives a depth and dimension to the finished picture. I love to capture character and quirkiness but retaining the fact it's a watercolour painting and not a photograph

Watercolour masterclass

Just this year I've run several watercolour master classes in conjunction with Surrey Art School. These are beginner classes, were I go through some fun techniques allowing you to experience loose flowing watercolour work

Come and join me on Saturday 12th of May (SOLD OUT new date in the diary for the 21st July 2018) where we"ll be  learning how to paint Bumblebees and lavander
