New dates for 2026 and the painting subject will be birds
These one-day workshops are a lovely, fun, and relaxed way to experience this wonderful, liberating way of painting. I'll teach you many of my favourite techniques, with two separate warm-up pieces, and you'll put what you've learned into practice with a final piece—a beautiful wren—that you can take home with a huge sense of pride. These workshops are aimed at beginners and intermediates who want to learn a fun, liberating way to use watercolour with confidence.
I'm only running three workshops this year, and each is limited to just seven people per day, so grab your spot while they're still available!
"Jane! I had such a fabulous time. I woke up this morning wishing I could do it all over again. You certainly can teach. I feel quite privileged to have been there"
"Thank you for an absolutely perfect day. I loved every minute and would attend any of your courses again in a heartbeat.
Thank you once again!"
The studio is set in the private grounds of Bignor House, which nestles in the South Downs National Park in England. It is just an hour and a half train journey from London. All materials and a homemade lunch will be provided.
"Thank you so much Jane for a wonderful day. , I was so nervous about painting in front of people but needn't have worried as you made us all feel so relaxed and comfortable, you are so warm, friendly, and very patient and I have taken away so many things to help me with my painting journey."
If that's not enough, the June and September dates coincide with Bignor House opening its beautiful gardens as part of the National Gardens Scheme. On the May date, we're lucky enough to have a private viewing. The gardens are a few minutes' stroll from the studio, where you can take a break from your art if you wish and have a gentle wander around these breathtaking, intimate gardens.
